Here are the reasons why I choose Wordpress as my blogging platform:

1. In Wordpress you have the time stamp option. You can write a post now and set the time stamp to a future date so the post will get published on the day you specified.
2. With Wordpress 2.0+, editing and customization can be done without reading the code. Wordpress is very simple for any user.
3. In Wordpress, you have plugins for customization. Thousands of plugins will help your blog to easy to use and makes it more search engine friendly.
4. A Wordpress blog can be customized into any type. It also can be made look like a normal website or forum etc.
5. Wordpress is just a blog. Wordpress is a very good blog system, but still is just a blog system.
6. The focus for WordPress is to concentrate the user on the content, not the code underneath.
7. Not only comment moderation that allows you to mitigate the effects of blog spam, Wordpress supports Trackbacks.
