Great bag, but straps sit funny on shoulder
The bag inside is perfect, roomy, strategically placed pockets, smooth zippers, beautiful coloring, etc etc. BUT…

better to do a real check
I have another JanSport firewire backpack which I have used for about 4 years. Recently I upgraded my laptop to a 15.4″ MacBook Pro. my old backpack is too shallow for 15.

Nice bag, lots of room, the laptop sleeve is handy. I’ve had the bag for about a month now and I use it everyday to commute back and forth to work on my bike.

Makes a nice carry-on for air travel
Easily under the size limit, it works well as an airline carry on leaving your hands free at check-in.

zipper pull tabs missing in two
The zipper(2) pull tabs missing on both of the right sides. This was the first thing noticed, and will be returning it.

I’ve been using this backpack for a little over a month now and overall it is a very good bag.

    Pros:
Two large compartments one of which has a laptop sleeve.
Second large compartment has plenty of smaller “pouch” areas to store stuff like spare cell charger and other assorted items.
Two water bottle sleeves on either side of the backpack.
    Thickly padded shoulder straps.
The cross chest strap really takes some of the pressure off the lower back.

    Cons:
Shoulder strap length could be a bit longer. I’m a large guy and I have to extend them all the way to wear the backpack.
Laptop sleeve does not have a top or other means to firmly secure a laptop.

Overall this is a decent backpack but being a large person I’d probably opt for something with longer shoulder straps next time.

    Cool Backpack
This is a very cool backpack. Not as large as I thought it would be however, it holds 2 pretty big textbooks a folder and that is about it.

Great day bag for every thing
Great bag with lots of space, sturdy. And the best part is, it’s not complicated at all. Looks cool even with the strange coloring.

I decided on this backpack because it came in blue and had two big pockets which I hadn’t been able to find in stores. When I got it I realized how huge the pockets were plus there is a zipper pocket close to the handle perfect for storing keys and cell phone, also the pocket in the front is handy. Also, two water bottle pouches on the sides. My only issue is the laptop sleeve seems a little tight to me but I have a bulkier laptop.
