This works great with my 5th Gen iPOD. Just set the Video->Tv Settings to out and you are golden! Friends of mine paid $39.99 for exactly the same type of cord.

Works great
I simply plugged it into the 2nd gen Touch on one end and the ports I use for gaming on the other end, no special settings, and it worked like a charm.
